On 1 April 2014, the Palestinian Ministry of Justice signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Jordan. Under this MoU, eight Palestinian doctors, contracted by the Ministry of Justice, will conduct a four-year training programme in forensic medicine at the University, which would lead to the award of a specialty degree in forensic medicine. The programme aims to prepare the doctors for certification by both the Jordanian Medical Council and the Palestinian Medical Council in the field of forensic medicine.
